About Brooke Zufelt

Brooke embarked on her mental health journey professionally in 2012, deeply influenced by her own personal experiences with substance abuse and mental health challenges since her youth. Initially drawn to working with adolescents, Brooke soon discovered her true calling was guiding and supporting young adults on their path to wellness.

Throughout her dynamic career, Brooke has worn many hats—mentor, alumni director, yoga instructor, admissions director, and marketing director—each role enhancing her rich understanding of mental health complexities. She holds extensive experience with acute mental health diagnoses, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder, and openly shares her own journey managing bipolar disorder and ADHD. Brooke is particularly passionate about Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), having completed DBT certification twice and personally experiencing its profound effectiveness.

With hands-on experience in acute hospitals, Brooke has skillfully supported clients facing severe challenges, including suicidal ideation and self-harm behaviors. Her compassionate, energetic, and holistic approach allows her clients to feel genuinely seen and empowered on their healing journeys.

In Utah, Brooke successfully owned and operated her yoga studio, Bottoms Up Yoga, alongside her role at New Roads Behavioral Health. Certified in both Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, she also practices Reiki and has comprehensive training in breathwork and sound baths. Brooke firmly believes in the therapeutic power of music, dance, and art as essential tools for mental wellness and sustaining her own sobriety.
